here's a quick share of the weather from just inside our apartment patio door...
on friday morning:
and saturday (30 inches later):
and yesterday evening, during the second storm (12 more inches). i don't know if you can tell, but it was all the way up to my chest already on saturday.
moving on to more important matters, we have baby a's bag packed and ready for her arrival. i cannot even tell you how excited we got when we were going through her clothes and stuff and saw how tiny everything is. i think it has really hit nate the past couple weeks and i've so loved watching him get more and more excited with me. none of my stuff is even close to being packed at this point, but i figure i have a little time before i need to finish that. (we'll see though, i was supposed to go check if i was dilated at all yesterday but the dr's office was closed because of the weather so i won't find out till next week) and i was just so excited to pack for her since my sister-in-law sara gave me this bag she made me for our home-made christmas this year. SO SO love it! you can see more stuff she's made at her etsy shop here.
in other more artsy news, i finally got nate to help me put up my collection of words and frames and photos i've been working on for above the couch. i still plan on adding a few more to balance things out a bit better (it actually isn't as unbalanced as it appears in the photo..i just had to take it from the side in order to fit it all in) but i was so thankful for his help in getting it all started at least.
and here is after. the yellow sign on the left side is an old school crossing sign that i found for $8 at a festival back in ohio when we went to visit last fall...it was origianlly supposed to be the main art behind the couch but it's way to heavy for our apartment walls so it just rests against the wall and provides Lb with yet another hiding place. i love it because it's a picture of a boy helping the girl cross the street. :):
you might remember the pepsi bottles from our wedding...(they were purchased at walmart) and the magazine vase is from anthropologie.
pepsi wedding photo by amy.
and here are a couple close-ups of the projects that i haven't shared yet:
i actually made this for nate for valentine's day. the tutorial and story behind it are both over on the JBS inspiration blog, along with lots of other new gallary layouts just posted today!
this one is super simple, but i really wanted to have these words on the wall:
and this one is nate's favorite...i'm not loving it myself but i'll leave it up until i come up with something else to take it's place:
and with those projects completed, i have officially run out of frames. which is why i love thrift shop fridays so much. and my husband, who realizes that he needs to get me out on the weekends...and patiently waits and play with LB while i browse through everything and leave with almost nothing except a couple banged up frames (if i'm lucky). i can't wait to replenish my stash tomorrow!
but first, i'll share my first commissioned piece. i did this for amy, since it's her favorite quote. hoping she will like it!
i even gave it some fun packaging, taking cheryl out of the word hambly on their packaging. :)
and with that, i'll close for today and head to bed so i can be fresh for finally getting out tomorrow...but i'll definitely be back soon with lots more projects! we have been on a mad mission to go through and purge everything in our entire apartment before the baby gets here and i have totally redecorated both the nursery and our bedroom, and i've also got some cards and a bunch of layouts to share. i just need this baby to hold on a little longer so i can get some things up on the kitchen walls. if i had at least 2 more weeks i think we would be good to go...
hope you are all having a good week!xo, cheryl
Love everything!!! You are too stinking creative. Good luck thrift shopping today!

Loving all the art! I wouldn't be able to stand that snow. And I would be terrified of going into labor and not being able to get out the door!
