just popping in to post some new art i've completed over the past few days. it's been rainy and drab around here so i haven't been feeling super crafty, but i did manage to get quite a bit done by forcing myself to do projects that i already had in my head and required not alot of thought. i just had to do something or i think i'd go over the deep end due to severe boredom from watching too much tv.
it's a sad sad day when cleaning the bathroom sounds better than relaxing on the couch...
anyways...the art:
first, a little project i made for amy using her year in review photo collage from her blog. don't you just love those new JBS butterflies? i think they are amazing. i have tons of ideas in my head for what i want to do with them now that i'll be scrapping a little girl. :) also loving the pins that she just came out with. her whole new release is just awesome.
(if you have a second check out this link to her CHA booth. INCREDIBLE!)
next up is this photo i did of liz and i when i went to visit her in september of 2008 when i was 8 months preggers with LB. i can't believe how much huger i look this time. tragic. (the masking tape digi kit is by danielle thompson and i'm in love with how cool it looks!)
here are 2 more postcards that i did for the wall in the kids' room. there will be a set of 3 with the one i made before. i basically just colored them with markers and then added a little something to each one. i love that they are all of a little boy and a little girl. perfect for lb and the baby! :)
and then i scanned each one and resized it small to make into little embellishment cards (they are too old to be copyrighted...i asked!). if you'd like to print and use them feel free to click on the image to make it larger and then print from there.
and another layout that i did just today...it's more about the content than the design. my dad made each of his grandsons a little (kinda big! lb's could fit at least 2 of him inside it.) red barn as a christmas gift. i think it's the most amazing gift ever...how cool will it be for lb to be able to pass it on to his own kids and grandkids?
a card i made for my parents for all they did for us to let me have a christmas when we didn't get to go home because of my back. sidenote: just today i read in a magazine that you should have all your thank yous for christmas sent by the beginning of january. umm...yeah, didn't make it. and i only got like 3 gifts.
and finally, another little something i made to go on the kids' wall. it looks in the photograph like nothing matches, but really it does in real life. i basically just used an old antique frame i bought and painted right over the cardboard from the back of it because i didn't want it to get too bulky with the buttons and everything.
and i actually just decided that i don't love this with the paper dolls. i think i might take them out and redo that part tomorrow. shoot.
and that's all i got for tonight...i'm exhausted from all this sitting around. i did do about 6 more pages but i can't share them yet because they are using the february JBS kit (AWESOME!) that hasn't been sent out yet. soon though! :)
xoxo, Cheryl
p.s. did i mention that when i went to the doctor on wednesday he said that the baby should be coming ANY DAY NOW?! at this point they won't stop the labor if it starts. kinda scary...as much as i want to meet her, i REALLY want her to be completely healthy and ready to head home with us when we go. praying hard that things work out ok!
hi girl!!!!
your art always, always amazes and inspires me. the one for amy is so special. she's going to love it! you should be getting that box tomorrow {tues 1/26} praying for your labor and delivery to be safe and quick. can't wait to "meet" your new little sweetie.

Loving all your work, but especially Grandpa's Treasure. I love the way the chosen colours highlight the happy vibe to the story. Thanks for sharing! xox
