there is some crazy crazy busy-ness going on over at the ametewee apartment these days with my new website reveal coming june 1st (yep...new website! so exciting! but still a secret for now...:D check back though...i'll be sharing lots more very very soon!) but i just wanted to pop in and share a little baby magic from this past weekend, along with my latest JBS stuff from this month's kit.
first, i love the bike path by our house. well, i sort of love/hate it. the hills make for great exercise and photography, but they also make me feel a little like the big bad wolf with all the huffing and puffing that goes on. and to add to my discomfort, it's getting HOT in dc...which makes for an even more unattractive work-out session. which is just what i needed.
but the setting sun shining through the trees? totally makes it worth it.
the pretty babies at sunset (this was gracie's 9 week shoot so there are more of her...but trust me, lb is not neglected on the photo front!):
londerpants is almost impossible to photograph...i swear he can smell the camera from a mile away. and he wants no part in that action. but the joke is on him this time because i adore these shots...mostly because they make me want to cry because my baby is growing up (he started repeating words this past couple days!). and photos that evoke emotion are my absolute favorite.
and here are a bunch of kids that were walking to the mall through the bike path on saturday at the same time we were...i asked them if i could take a few pictures if i sent the photos to them. i'm totally in the mode where i ask anyone and everyone if i can photograph them so that i can get as much practice as possible. and i'm finding that pretty much everyone says yes. these guys were especially fun because they were willing to try fun stuff and show personality. i love that. and i'd love to photograph them again soon when we had a little more time for set-up.
and now for a couple layouts from this month's jbs kit (you might note that i'm totally obsessed with little photos these days!):
and i made over this little $12 barn sale sewing storage thingy that i've had for a couple years by painting it, adding new knobs and then attaching the prima leaf from this month's kit. it's now sitting proudly in my newly remodeled studio space. :)
and with that i'm off to bed so that i can get lots more art done tomorrow!
hope you all had a fabulous weekend...:)
