the following, my dear blog readers, is the result of my house desperately needing cleaned.
on the other hand, you should see how much my place sparkles when i have a scrapbook deadline...
how obvious is it that green is my favorite right now?
in other news, LB continues to refuse to eat. anyone else ever have this problem with their kids?if so, what did you do? he's definitely growing from SOMETHING (i have theories involving nighttime visits from keebler elves). but it's still so incredibly stressful. we literally spend hours with him in a high chair and me attempting to shovel food in his mouth with him clamping his lips together in complete defiance. hand him anything else, however, and you better believe it's going straight in his mouth. awesome.
and i leave you with these photos of my londer baby helping grandpa plant the garden.
also, our life is about to change big time.
and i'm so very excited about that.

Love seeing all these fab pages!!
As far as food...my daughter was over 8 months before she was interested in food. And then she quickly moved to finger foods (soft pastas, small cubes of well cooked veggies, etc). She only did my homemade baby food for a short while. Hudson is not much younger than LB (he turned 7 months on the 15th) and he hasn't started with solids yet, we've tried a few times and he isn't really interested yet. If LB is getting formula or breastmilk, he's getting enough nutrition through that at this point...so try not to stress (although as a mama, I know how hard that is sometimes!).

Holy guacamole!! You rock - thanks for the wicked inspiration this morning!! I adore your pages. You are an inspiration. Keep up the great mommyness. That baby is a delight. Not a mom so I can't comment on the eating - he looks healthy and i know you will find the right combo to turn the tide. I am looking forward to the pics of him pigging out!

New commenter/Old lurker alert. ;)
Just wanted to say that both my kids did this. I freaked out with my oldest, as she was a tiny preemie and I didn't think she should be skipping her food at all. I forced the issue, which caused more issues. In reality, she was just fine. My second (a big, strapping boy) is currently in the midst of the same thing, which sort of freaked me out again because he's BIG and I would think he needs something to keep his stamina up! But this time, I don't push the issue, and still...he's just fine. The thing is, the appetite seems to disappear like a switch being turned, and then it comes on the same way - one day, they just eat! Hang in there. Kids are so much more resilient than we know. ;)

Love the pages and all the bright colors! You even used your new punch already!! Sadly, my Archivers purchases haven't even made it out the bag. One more week and I'll have lots of scrapping time though.

aWSOMEPAGES!
i never had a problem with my girls eating, but my neighbor did for a bit, her baby is almost 9 months and he eats good now....maybe in a month or so he will change. her baby JUST started to eat finally in the last 2 weeks!!! maybe he wants real food. my girls didn't like baby food that much. they wanted the real deal . cut up chicken cubes, cottage cheese. at 5.5 months, savannah ate an entire cheeseburger LOL!
talk soON!

I would not force it. Offer him the food, if he doesn't want it, get him down. I don't think keeping him in the highchair for a long time will solve it. My eldest was a little like this and looking back I stressed way too much over it. IF he was hungry he would eat it. Continue offering him healthy stuff and eventually he will show interest. I know some babys just dont like baby food, but would rather go straight to finger food?!!
Good luck!
Also intrigued by your life change!!! Can't wait to hear what it is.

just chiming in to agree with others. if he isn't interested, don't force the issue. also if you are only offering baby food, maybe he would prefer regular table food. of my four boys, the youngest one refused to eat baby food. he started eating solid food at about 8.5 months (he was breastfed) and only ate real food from the get go. he is also my best eater to date!

Sigh
Cheryl, I'm not a fan of suspense, dude! Spill it.
Love your pages. I was trying to choose my favorite, but couldn't narrow it down.
Max ate everything and did it way too soon, but lots of kids go through this! If he's hungry...he'll eat. (Do I sound like someone's grandma or what?!)Currently, Maxwell will only eat lunch if it involves "fwench fwies". So, today, he went hungry and as of now...he's still got plenty of energy. :)

hey honey buns dont worry i am here lol no my DD went through this and my method was stick it on his tray and let them play he will soon want to try... finger foods work even a spoon while you are spoon feeding him may work and some nush may work try him with a biscuit etc make him feel more independant but dont force it on him as he may go worse well thats how it was for me.
Im loving the layouts xxxx

about the eating thing...well my oldest stopped eating at 11 months and is just now starting to eat again at almost 5 years old! Some children have sensory issues (that is what they say about zoe). Her's is mostly due to her CP but all children can have the sensory issues and the eventually come around. Just keep trying :)
